Step aside, floppy USBs and digital dreams—Steve Maclin just cashed in on something far more brutal. At TNA Unbreakable in Las Vegas, Maclin became the first-ever TNA International Champion, officially replacing the short-lived Digital Media Championship with a shiny new title and a triple threat banger that left fans gasping, tweeting, and possibly Googling “TNA title lineage” for context.

TNA tossed the Digital Media Championship into the recycling bin of wrestling history and kicked off a nine-man tournament to crown its new globe-trotting bruiser-in-chief. The finals? A triple threat war featuring Maclin, Eric Young, and AJ Francis—because nothing screams “world title energy” like three angry men fighting in Vegas under a banner that says Unbreakable.

The night started with Eric Young advancing after defeating Zachary Wentz and JDC, and Maclin earning his spot by surviving a triple threat with Eddie Edwards and Ace Austin. That’s like two boss fights just to unlock the final level.

In the main event, chaos reigned.

AJ Francis nearly stole the show after blasting Maclin with a clothesline and hitting the TFL on Young, but momentum betrayed him faster than a surprise roll-up. When he went for a big boot to finish the job, Maclin dodged, hung Francis upside down like a discount Halloween decoration, and speared him into oblivion. Then, when Francis went for the Down Payment, Maclin countered it like a tax loophole and hit the K.I.A. for the win.

Maclin didn’t just win a belt—he christened it.

Now holding a new championship with international promise (and definitely no relation to AEW’s similarly named title), Maclin is set to defend the strap at TNA Rebellion on April 27 against Eric Young, who’s already fuming because he didn’t get pinned in the final. Wrestling math says “not pinned = instant rematch,” and who are we to argue?

Formerly known as Steve Cutler in WWE, Maclin’s post-Vince era has been all gas and no gimmick. He held the TNA World Championship just last year, and now he’s back collecting belts like Infinity Stones.

So here’s your headline: The world’s first International Champion speaks fluent spear, has a finisher named after warfare, and is headed to Rebellion with an axe to grind and a belt to defend.

We might be in for a passport-stamped beatdown.
