AEW Collision ended with a thud, a roar, and several flying knees as Konosuke Takeshita bulldozed his way past Brody King in the Owen Hart Cup quarterfinals. And with that win, the Walking Weapon of the Don Callis Era (but actually riding solo this time) is heading straight for a long-awaited revenge match with Will Ospreay.

Let’s get into it.

Despite Don Callis being noticeably absent (likely whispering evil stock tips elsewhere), Takeshita walked into the main event without backup. Brody King, however, wasn’t solo — he had Julia Hart haunting the ringside like AEW’s most gothic hype woman.

The match itself was an industrial-strength hoss fight with a side of parkour. King brought the beef — literally — chopping Takeshita into the guardrail so hard the front row now qualifies for hazard pay. But Takeshita, never one to stay down unless he’s vaulting off it, answered back with his signature power-speed combo: Blue Thunderbombs, deadlift slams, and two brutal running knees to finally take the monster down for the three-count.

That’s two major dubs in one weekend for Takeshita, who already took out Tanahashi in NJPW just one night earlier like it was no big deal. We call that a “Menace Double Header.”

Now? Now he’s got Will Ospreay in his sights at Spring Break-Thru. The same Ospreay who handed him a big, shiny L back at Revolution 2024. This is officially a run-it-back situation and wrestling Twitter is already salivating.

Meanwhile, on the other side of the bracket, Hangman Page still has to face the mysterious “Wild Card” entrant to determine who faces Kyle Fletcher. Speculation is rampant. It could be CM Punk. It could be Kip Sabian. It could be a sentient cowboy boot. Nobody knows. But it’s going down next week.

All roads lead to the Owen Cup finals at Double or Nothing, and with Takeshita, Ospreay, Fletcher, and possibly a wild Hangman in the mix, it’s safe to say this bracket is hotter than Don Callis’s Yelp reviews in Winnipeg.
