In a surprise that caused more nostalgic squealing than a 2019 episode of Raw Talk, Cassie Lee and Jessica McKay—formerly known as The IIconics, now rebranded as The IInspiration—made their long-awaited return to TNA Wrestling at Against All Odds. And folks? They didn’t come back for a cameo. They came back for gold, glamour, and GIF-worthy promos.
According to Fightful Select, the returning duo’s deals are shorter than one of their post-match celebration segments—just under a year. So don’t expect them to hang around for the next ten Knockouts Tag title reigns… unless they plan on winning all of them.
Contrary to earlier speculation, their return had nothing to do with TNA’s recent corporate shake-up, which included the exit of Scott D’Amore and Gail Kim earlier this year. In fact, the IInspiration had solid relationships with the previous management, proving you can leave wrestling without burning every ring rope on your way out.
Lee and McKay, who’ve spent the last couple years becoming literal moms and metaphorical queens, were reportedly locked in for this return at least a week prior, with TNA internally teasing it like it was a Marvel end credit scene.
And during their comeback moment, they made their intentions loud, proud, and sparkly:
They’re coming for the Knockouts Tag Team Titles.
Currently held by Ash by Elegance and Heather by Elegance, a duo that sounds more like a boutique candle company than titleholders—but okay, fashion war incoming.
Fans may remember the duo’s WWE chapter as The IIconics, where they infamously won the Women’s Tag Team Titles at WrestleMania 35 and celebrated like someone had just invented glitter-flavored pizza. After their release in 2021 and a run in IMPACT (now TNA) that ended in 2022, they stepped away from the ring to start families—proving once again that they can wrestle, roast, and raise kids without breaking a heel.
Now they’re back.
Back in sync.
Back in sequins.
And if you think this is just a nostalgia tour, please refer to their joint press conference facial expressions—they are very much not here to play nice.
