TNA Wrestling has officially entered its “We’re Under New Management” phase, announcing a major shake-up that saw executives let go, roles shuffled, and fans wondering if the office chairs even had time to get warm.

Who’s In, Who’s Out?

Wednesday was a big day for TNA’s front office, as the company said goodbye to some familiar faces and hello to some new ones.

🚪 OUT:

  • Josh Matthews – longtime TNA commentator turned backstage producer.
  • Christy Hemme – former TNA star turned marketing head.
  • Anthony Cicione – TNA President (but don’t worry, he still runs Anthem Sports & Entertainment, so he’s not completely gone).

🏆 IN:

  • Carlos Silva – The new TNA Wrestling President (because what’s a wrestling company without a mysterious new boss with a sports background?).
  • George Veras – The new Executive Producer (10-time Emmy winner—so expect at least 10% more production value).

The Official Statement: Corporate Speak 101

TNA issued an official statement to Jon Alba, who posted it on X (formerly Twitter). It read:

“The new TNA Wrestling President is Carlos Silva. George Veras is the new Executive Producer of the Anthem Sports Group… Josh Matthews and Christy Hemme are no longer with the company. We appreciate their commitment to TNA throughout the years, and wish them well in their future endeavors.”

Ah yes, the classic “wish them well” send-off—the pro wrestling equivalent of “We’re breaking up, but it’s not you, it’s us.”

Who is Carlos Silva?

If the name sounds familiar, it’s because Silva was named President of Anthem Sports Group at the end of 2024. His resume includes:

  • Investment banking 💰
  • Tennis & sports TV 🎾📺
  • Combat sports (World Series of Fighting/PFL) 🥊💥

That means TNA now has a President who knows his way around fighting—but more importantly, around making money.

What’s Next for TNA?

With Silva in charge and Veras handling production, it’s clear that TNA is gearing up for a new era—whether that means bigger shows, better storytelling, or just more corporate reshuffling remains to be seen.

As for Matthews and Hemme, neither have commented on their exits yet, but if wrestling history tells us anything, we’ll probably be seeing one of them pop up in another promotion very soon.
