If there’s one thing Tony Khan loves, it’s a tournament—and this time, he’s putting one together to decide who gets first dibs on Kenny Omega’s freshly won AEW International Championship at Dynasty on April 6.
After defeating Konosuke Takeshita at AEW Revolution 2025, Omega not only became champion but also made history as AEW’s first-ever Grand Slam Champion. Now, instead of letting Omega rest on his elite laurels, AEW is throwing eight competitors into a high-stakes tournament to determine his next challenger.
The Tournament Format
- Eight wrestlers will compete in four one-on-one first-round matches.
- The four winners will then advance to a fatal four-way match.
- The winner of that four-way match earns the title shot against Omega at Dynasty in Philadelphia.
