Just when you thought AEW Revolution couldn’t get any crazier, Tony Khan took to X (formerly known as Twitter, and still known as a lawless wasteland) to drop a bombshell: Kazuchika Okada will defend his AEW Continental Championship against Brody King this Sunday.

That’s right, folks—the Rainmaker is stepping into the ring with a man who looks like he just finished pillaging a Viking village, all because Okada did what any good champion does… walked into someone else’s promo like he owned the place.

How We Got Here: Okada vs. King’s Beard

This whole feud kicked off on AEW Collision when Okada made the bold decision to casually stroll through a Brody King and Julia Hart segment like he was speed-walking through Times Square. King, being the delightfully violent man that he is, didn’t appreciate Okada’s lack of respect and quickly made it known with his fists.

Later that night, Okada upped the ante by attacking King, proving once again that the best way to book a title defense in AEW is to randomly start fighting someone backstage.

Okada’s last defense came at AEW Grand Slam: Australia, where he defeated King’s tag partner, Buddy Matthews. Now, it’s Brody’s turn to get revenge for his fallen comrade—and maybe, just maybe, for every interview that’s ever been rudely interrupted in wrestling history.

Dynamite Preview: Chaos, Swerve, and a Ricochet in the Mix

But before Okada and King throw hands at Revolution, they’ll first square off in a tag match on Dynamite, with Okada teaming up with Ricochet (yes, that Ricochet) against Brody King and Swerve Strickland. This is essentially AEW saying, “Hey, let’s get everyone mad at each other before Sunday.”

In case that wasn’t enough, Revolution is already stacked with:
🔥 Toni Storm vs. Mariah May in a “Hollywood Ending” Falls Count Anywhere Match
🔥 The Hurt Syndicate defending the AEW Tag Team Titles against The Outrunners
🔥 Jon Moxley vs. Cope (Edge, but not Edge) for the AEW World Championship

So yeah, expect madness, expect violence, and most importantly, expect Tony Khan to tweet about it in all caps.
