Guess who’s back? Trish Stratus, that’s who.
The WWE Hall of Famer made a surprise return at #25 in the Women’s Royal Rumble, sending Indianapolis into a frenzy. And just like in her prime, she wasted no time throwing hands with anyone in sight.
Trish immediately went after former ally Natalya (because it’s a tradition at this point), but the real moment came when she squared up against #28 entrant Nia Jax. Candice LeRae tried to have her friend’s back, but Stratus channeled her legendary status and eliminated LeRae with ease.
Unfortunately for Trish, Jax did not appreciate her bestie getting tossed, and—because wrestling logic—LeRae returned the favor by helping Jax eliminate the Hall of Famer moments later.
This marks Trish’s second-ever Royal Rumble appearance—her first was in 2018’s inaugural women’s Rumble. Her last official WWE match was at Payback 2023, where she took a steel cage loss to Becky Lynch (in case you forgot how much she loves making comebacks).
Now, the big question: Is this a one-night-only nostalgia pop, or is Trish sticking around for WrestleMania season? Her interactions with Jax and LeRae sure left the door open… but as always with Stratus, we’ll have to wait and see.
