The “Grandest Stage of Them All” may be heading back to the Big Easy as reports continue to suggest that New Orleans is the frontrunner to host WrestleMania 42 in 2026.
The Latest on WWE’s Plans
- According to Fightful Select, New Orleans is still expected to land WrestleMania 42, with WWE reportedly planning to make the official announcement before WrestleMania 41.
- WrestleVotes also chimed in, stating on X (formerly Twitter) that WWE is set to confirm the location soon.
- Insiders say WWE has been working on this for years, even though some within the company weren’t convinced it would happen.
Why New Orleans Again?
If this goes through, WrestleMania 42 would be the THIRD time in 12 years that the Superdome hosts the event, following:
🏆 WrestleMania 30 (2014) – Daniel Bryan’s Yes-toric moment ✊
🏆 WrestleMania 34 (2018) – The Undertaker squashing John Cena in minutes
Clearly, WWE loves the city, and the city loves WrestleMania—so this move makes a lot of sense.
What About an International WrestleMania?
With Saudi Arabia & the UK rumored for future WrestleManias, Fightful reports that WWE has no plans to hold Mania outside of North America before 2028. Sorry, London—you might have to wait a little longer.
What’s Next?
- Expect an official announcement before WrestleMania 41.
- If plans don’t change, WrestleMania 42 will bring the chaos back to Bourbon Street.
- Still no word on when Florida will get its 500th WrestleMania. (Kidding… kind of.)
