WWE’s gamble on letting popular-but-slightly-unhinged streamer IShowSpeed enter the Royal Rumble has paid off—in viral ways and possibly in medical bills. The social media star wasn’t just personally invited by Paul “Triple H” Levesque to live-stream from behind the scenes, but he ended up competing in the match, delivering (and receiving) moments that had the internet buzzing.
According to PWInsider Elite, WWE absolutely adored Speed’s appearance—so much so that they’re already discussing bringing him back, possibly for WrestleMania 41 in Las Vegas. Oh, and if you want to remember this moment forever, WWE is already working on IShowSpeed merch—because, of course, they are.
The Spear Heard ‘Round the World
While Speed was officially in the Rumble to help bring new eyes to WWE, he mostly helped Bron Breakker bring new pain to his spine. The viral moment of the night came when Breakker absolutely folded Speed with a Spear so devastating, the WWE locker room reportedly had an audible reaction backstage. And honestly? Same.
Before that brutal takedown, Speed actually had a semi-impressive moment, teaming up with Breakker to eliminate the human bulldozer Otis. But any alliance in WWE lasts about as long as a Twitter trend, because immediately after, Breakker launched Speed into another dimension with the Spear, then dumped him over the top rope for elimination.
Not done suffering yet, Speed was caught by Otis outside the ring—only for Otis to immediately yeet him over the announce table like a used napkin. Speed was then tended to by medical staff and later posted on X, leaving the stadium in a neck brace and crutches, dramatically proclaiming, “No more WWE.” Sure, buddy. That’s exactly what Logan Paul said before signing a multi-year contract.
Will We See Speed at WrestleMania?
Given how much WWE reportedly loved his appearance (and how much social media engagement he raked in), don’t be surprised if IShowSpeed shows up again at WrestleMania 41. Maybe he’ll seek revenge on Breakker. Maybe he’ll just get speared again. Either way, one thing’s for sure—his neck is not ready.
