Folks, it’s that time of the year again—WrestleMania season is heating up, and so is WWE’s list of talent cuts. A wave of departures, releases, and contracts not renewed has left several superstars future-endeavored, proving once again that job security in WWE is about as stable as a Jenga tower in an earthquake.
Who Got Released?
As of now, the list of departures includes:
❌ Duke Hudson – First to announce his exit, even released a video where he interviewed himself about it. A+ creativity, at least.
❌ Cedric Alexander – Said goodbye after 8.5 years with WWE. Give this man his flowers, he gave us bangers.
❌ Akam & Rezar (Authors of Pain) + Paul Ellering – Just finished a feud with Wyatt Sicks but got cut anyway.
❌ Sonya Deville – Out due to injury and now out of WWE entirely.
❌ Blair Davenport & Isla Dawn – Still actively feuding on NXT, proving that even screen time won’t save you.
❌ Karl Anderson & Luke Gallows – The Good Brothers are gone again. Guess they weren’t so “Too Sweet” to keep around.
❌ Giovanni Vinci – Imperium’s enforcer no more. Gunther’s gotta be fuming.
❌ Elektra Lopez – Legado Del Fantasma loses another member, at this rate, it’s just gonna be Santos Escobar talking to himself.
Why Did This Happen?
The reason behind the cuts is unclear, but a mix of:
🔹 Budget considerations (despite WWE making billions)
🔹 Creative having “nothing” for them (which is just bad creative)
🔹 Talent requests for release
Some were granted releases, some were flat-out fired, and others had their contracts quietly not renewed—but all of them now have 90 days to figure out their next move.
What’s Next for These Stars?
👀 WWE Return (Eventually?) – Because let’s be real, half these names will be back in 3-5 years.
👀 AEW/TNA Bound? – AEW’s roster is already stacked, but TNA has been snapping up free agents left and right.
👀 Japan/Indies? – The Authors of Pain smashing people in New Japan? Yes, please.
Final Thoughts – A Costly Mistake?
Every time WWE releases talent, they act shocked when their competition signs them and makes them stars. Will they learn this time? Probably not.
One thing’s for sure—these wrestlers aren’t done yet.
