Sad news, folks. Another WWE talent has been shown the door, and this time, it’s Elektra Lopez, the former manager of Legado Del Fantasma. That’s right—Lopez has officially been future endeavored, joining a growing list of recently released stars, including Luke Gallows, Karl Anderson, Isla Dawn, and Blair Davenport.
Reported by PWInsider, Lopez’s release marks the end of her four-year WWE tenure, proving once again that in WWE, loyalty lasts about as long as an NXT call-up before Vince rewrites their gimmick.
A Brief History of Lopez’s WWE Run (Or: How to Get Called Up and Sent Home in Record Time)
Lopez, trained by Damian Adams, first dipped her toes into WWE in 2018 and 2019, even challenging for the WWE Women’s Tag Team Championships alongside a pre-AEW Kris Statlander. Then, in 2021, she officially signed with WWE and aligned herself with Legado Del Fantasma, featuring Santos Escobar, Joaquin Wilde, and Cruz Del Toro.
But, much like a tag team break-up before WrestleMania season, things got messy.
- Legado Del Fantasma got the main roster call-up in 2022, but Lopez? Left behind in NXT like a forgotten luggage bag at the airport.
- Zelina Vega replaced her as manager, because apparently, WWE has a “One Latina Per Faction” policy.
- In late 2023, Escobar betrayed Rey Mysterio (probably over who got the last pair of LWO sunglasses).
- Lopez finally rejoined the faction in early 2024… only to now be released faster than a WWE draft pick getting repackaged.
Lopez’s Last Match—A Foreboding Pinfall
Lopez’s final in-ring appearance was on December 6, 2023, in the Women’s U.S. Title tournament, where Tiffany Stratton pinned her to advance. If WWE had given her a proper send-off, they would’ve at least let her kick out at two and a half.
What’s Next for Elektra Lopez?
With her undeniable charisma and solid presence as a manager, Lopez has options. Maybe AEW? Maybe TNA? Maybe running a tell-all podcast about what really happens in WWE catering? The world is her oyster.
One thing’s for sure—Legado Del Fantasma just lost another member, and at this rate, they’re gonna have to rebrand as “El Solo Fantasma” if the cuts keep coming.
