Folks, it’s official: WWE’s Royal Rumble 2025 just shattered more records than a Goldberg squash match. According to WWE (and confirmed by our eyeballs watching Triple H brag about it on live TV), this was the biggest single-night gate in WWE history. And if you thought that was impressive, wait until you hear the rest.
💰 Viewership? Up 14% on Peacock in the U.S. and even higher internationally, thanks to WWE’s shiny new Netflix deal.
🛍️ Merchandise sales? Up 95%—which means a lot of you spent way too much money on replica belts and “Yeet” shirts.
📢 Sponsorship revenue? Up 94%, because nothing says “big business” like slapping a logo on every available surface.
📱 Social media views? Also an all-time record, thanks in large part to that Bron Breakker spear that turned IShowSpeed into a viral meme.
On top of all that, this Rumble was the first to take place in an active NFL stadium, with WWE taking over Lucas Oil Field in Indianapolis. And since the event was such a monster success, WWE is already planning more major events in Indy, including a future WrestleMania. (Sorry, New York and L.A.—Indiana is getting in on the action now.)
As for the show itself, it delivered some massive moments:
🏆 Jey Uso and Charlotte Flair won their respective Rumbles.
🔧 DIY (Gargano & Ciampa) retained their tag titles against the Motor City Machine Guns.
💀 Cody Rhodes successfully defended his title against Kevin Owens in a brutal ladder match.
With numbers like these, it’s clear WWE is thriving—so get ready for even more blockbuster stadium shows, more flashy sponsorships, and probably more IShowSpeed getting destroyed in the ring.
